South Beach D6 Democratic Club’s missions are:
- To strengthen the political voice of District 6, through active participation in the electoral process.
- To register new voters and encourage participation in every election.
- To engage in educational activities.
- To promote awareness of the issues facing voters through candidates’ nights, position papers and issue forums.
WHO WE ARE
D6 members are registered democrats that are residents of District 6.
SBD6DC’s meetings are held multiple times a year.
WHAT WE DO
We are the political voice of District 6 neighborhoods.
When the City tried to put an end to the Below Market Rate units in the South Beach Marina Apartments, we fought the City and won, assuring the continuation of the BMR program.
We advocated for the first Mission Bay School, now scheduled for construction.
We spoke up against San Francisco Recreation and Parks when they were about to tear down old trees that had been part of the Rincon Hill neighborhood for decades. While the trees were sadly torn down, we got Rec and Parks to redesign the park.
SBD6DC has many social and informative events throughout the year which range from rallies, marches, and social events.
